By accessing and using MangoPDF ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

2. Description of Service

MangoPDF provides free online tools for processing, manipulating, and converting PDF documents. Our services include, but are not limited to:

Merging multiple PDF files
Splitting PDF documents
Removing pages from PDFs
Adding page numbers and watermarks
Protecting and unlocking PDFs
Signing and redacting PDFs
Converting PDFs to other formats (JPG, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Comparing PDF documents
Extracting tables from PDFs
Viewing and navigating PDFs

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Use of Service

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3.2 Permitted Use

You may use our Service for lawful purposes only. You agree to:

Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Not upload files that contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Not use the Service to process illegal, copyrighted, or unauthorized content
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Not use automated systems or bots to access the Service without permission
Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service

3.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload, process, or share through our Service any content that:

Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates any law
Infringes on intellectual property rights, copyrights, or trademarks
Contains personal information of others without consent
Is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Violates privacy rights or data protection laws

4. File Processing and Storage

No File Storage: We process your files temporarily and do not store them permanently. Files are automatically deleted after processing is complete, typically within 5 minutes or less.

Processing Methods: Some operations are performed entirely in your browser using client-side technology (WebAssembly), while others may require server-side processing. Files processed on our servers are stored temporarily in memory or temporary storage and are automatically deleted.

No Guarantee of Recovery: Once files are deleted from our systems, they cannot be recovered. We recommend that you keep backup copies of important files.

5. Service Availability and Limitations

We strive to provide reliable and continuous service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors, interruptions, or downtime. We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
Implement usage limits or restrictions
Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
Refuse service to anyone for any reason

File Size Limits: Some tools may have file size limitations. Large files may take longer to process or may not be supported. We reserve the right to set and modify file size limits at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the files you upload and process through our Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and content, is owned by MangoPDF and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or quality of processed files
Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MANGOPDF AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
Loss or corruption of files
Service interruptions or failures
Errors or inaccuracies in processed files
Security breaches or unauthorized access

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is currently $0, as the Service is free).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MangoPDF and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another party
Content you upload or process through the Service

10. Privacy

11. Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MangoPDF operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MangoPDF regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
